PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE

1980 to Present

Project Leader, Senior Scientist                  Siemens Dematic AG, Konstanz, Germany (1995 to Present)

Full technical responsibility for large project management for mail sorting systems. Develop/design  several applications for image processing and pattern recognition using C/C++ on UNIX/WindowsNT/VMS operating systems. Hands on experience for the whole life cycle of a software application: design / development/ integration/ debugging.  

Senior R&D Engineer                                               Merrill Lynch Japan, Tokyo, Japan (1994-1995)

Design/develop several large financial applications using C on UNIX: interprocess communications, SYBASE programming, multiplatform communications. Able to work with traders.

Head of Special Software Department                Graphica Computer Co., Tokyo, Japan (1991-1994)

Manage a team of 11 software engineers of different nationalities; design/develop/manage large image processing applications using C/UNIX/interprocess communication. Develop pattern recognition algorithms using C/MacOS/UNIX, DMA drivers for UNIX and MacOS.
